How does I-280 connect to East Orange?

School traffic is the other local wrinkle. East Orange is dense with schools, and the streets around them fill up quickly at drop-off and pick-up. Central Avenue absorbs some of that and the side streets absorb the rest.

Ordinary city driving.
East Orange is dense and gridded rather than suburban. Once you are off the highway you are immediately into blocks, cross streets and traffic lights. That is good news for finding an address and bad news for speed.
